Huanglian Shangqing Pian Contraindications: in most cases, these pills are well perceived by the body, but should be discarded if present:
individual sensitivity or intolerance;
diseases of the spleen;
pregnancy;
breast-feeding;
hypertension;
heart diseases;
kidney and liver diseases;
diabetes.

If you are taking any tonic, then you should refrain from taking Huanglian Shangqing Pian. During the passage of a therapeutic or preventive course, smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and eating spicy foods are prohibited.
